What is flotsam?

Published by George

Merriam-Webster Online defines flotsam as:

1: floating wreckage of a ship or its cargo: floating debris

2: miscellaneous or unimportant material.

Some comments have indicated that this site is a ship wreck, which would mean that everything is, indeed, flotsam.  Kind of a self fullfilling prophecy.

I use the term to show that this is not a serious site, but one rather dedicated to the things that we usually overlook, or see and discard.  Perhaps if we took a second in our day to think about what we are seeing, we might enjoy our day a little more.
