No, we didn’t go away. We’ve been right here.
Just like the two deer in the picture below, we’ve been here, but we’ve had our attention focused on other things.
We captured this image at Flatwoods, a little gem of wilderness next to New Tampa. I watched these two deer disapear right before my eyes while watching them move through the brush. When they stopped, they just vanished! I didn’t see them when I took the picture, but I figured, ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained’.
When I got home, I loaded the image on my computer, and after a minute or two, found one deer by his rump that was facing me. After another few minutes, I located the other one looking right at me.
I’m glad I took the shot. It’s one of my new favorites.
