I’ve seen a lot of temporary traffic signs, even a lot of them laying down, but this is the first that I’ve seen that was custom fitted to the location. Notice how the curbside edge is molded to the radius of the curb. It also follows the downward angle to the yellow sidewalk past the curb. I understand the corner; cars making a tight right turn could mash the corner to the curb radius. But to warp the sign further towards the middle could only be foot traffic. So how long has this sign been laying there?

Tucked in the north west corner of the new Museum of Art grounds, this handy little dog park is a treat for the growing population of downtown doggie dwellers.

Some of the items that I noticed were the double gated sally port, lots of benches and trash cans, a combo people/doggie water station and what looks like artificial turf.

Friday it stormed pretty good, so I wasn’t able to get out and look for flotsam. So, while munching on my sandwich at my desk, I was pulled into a design for an air superiority fighter. The result is below, a device that will rule the air.

I actually walked past this police car before realizing it was flotsam. I stopped, chuckled, and turned around, right in front of the cop shop and took a few pictures.

Of course, several things ran through my head.
Was the car stolen?
Has it been checked for steroids?
Will it show up in a New York minute?
and is it designated for Jeter Patrol, and known at the Jetermobile?
I’m only kidding, of course. A big thanks to the New York Yankees for this generous donation.

I understand the owner of this Jetsonmobile wants to keep his little scooter, but a cable run twice through the front wheel is not going to stop someone from stealing it. If anything, it provides a convenient handle for lifting the front wheel (always a difficult spot to get a grip on) before putting the whole thing in the back of a pickup/minivan/SUV.

My advice would be to use a longer cable and run it around a light pole. But then, he wouldn’t have that premium parking spot, now would he?

Snugged up on the north west side of the Kennedy Street bridge over the Hillsborough River, next to Malios is this wonderful little piece of artwork(?) that shows the world just how commited this crew is.

At first I thought it would be easy to identify the college/university, but the blade design is throwing me. Of the schools with P’s and large cats, we have Princeton Tigers and the Penn State Nittany Lions. But according to Blades of the World, neither of those schools have oars anything like what is drawn.
And to think that Pam Iorio wants to paint over such heartfelt sentiments.
