Super Dave gave me the tip about these bees that have taken up residence in a light pole on Jackson Street. We are guessing that the hive is inside the pole or crossarm.

We were headed to the Van Fleet Trail, and I found this little bit of flotsam along the road. I always wondered what happened to my old bus…..

Like a lot of people, we like to ride our bikes. Here are some pictures of the 2 mile paved trail at Aldermans Ford Park. It’s one of the lushest I’ve ever riden on.

Spent an afternoon away from it all at a little spot we know. None of the water birds would hang around us and our noise, so all I have is a weed and a gator.
Don’t know the name of this thing. Don’t remember seeing it growing up, but then, it has been awhile. One individual told of stumbling into a patch and it stung him pretty bad.

I call it, "ankle eater".

These little spines inject inflammatory agents.
There was a gator that swam by and then left. We found him when we left.

Easing by, checking us out...

Waiting for us to leave him alone. So we left.
Nice to get away for a few hours. Then back to life. and it’s work week flotsam.

We took a stroll through the Tomato Festival last weekend. We had our fill of tomato slices and old timey stuff.

Steve Oliver in the Oregon Aero SkyDancer put on an excellent show. Hard to think that this is an old trainer once used by Canada.
