I took a stroll down by the History Center last week, and the exterior work is still going on. I noticed the free standing columns being cast and grabbed a few images to share. The first two are of a column as it is formed up, that is, encased in the mold that will give the column its shape. The last image is of one of the completed cast columns.

Okay, lets look at this one. It’s an exterior ground level door, in a condo, labeled “Storage”. What does that tell you? Well, if I’m a burglar, it tells me, “Break in here, it’s not a residence, and some expensive equipment might be stored here.” Wouldn’t it be better to just put a number on this door, and leave the labels off of it?
