1962 Metropolitan
This little fella was just sitting at the corner, waiting for me to take his picture before he motored on down the road. My research on this vehicle is sketchy, but from what I can see, due to the hood ornament, this is a 1962 year model. American Motors dropped the Nash name in the late 50′s, marketing this car simply “Metropolitan”.

That’s awesome! I love rare little convertables.
I’ve driven a few Metros and even though about buying a used Metropolitan convertible in the early 70s for $200, but a VW convertible came along for $150 and I bought that instead.
The Metro was cute, but performance was awful and it had a WAY too soft ride for such a small car. I’m glad I chose the VW, which I kept for eight years and replaced with a used early (square) Toyota Corona.
