Unnamed Sculpture Adorns Old Federal Courthouse (Freedom by Ofra Friedman)

Published by at 6:00 am under Bowl

As part of the Dress The Town Up for SuperBowl (my label), art is being placed at various locations in Tampa.  This is located on the grounds of the old Federal Courthouse on Florida Ave.

    Hi George,
    It is entitled “Freedom”.
The name plaque is next to it now, you must have taken the photo on the first day it was installed.
Thanks for noticing and calling other people’s attention to the art downtown.

I noticed the similarities to Leaves and Life immediately, but I wanted to be sure. I fully intended to make a return visit to check for a plaque. There are two more pieces that I think are done by the same artist that I want to check on also.

I was frankly amazed at the amount of art downtown once I opened my eyes and really started to look at things. I think that we sometimes get so tied up with little problems that we forget to look around us and enjoy the view. I know that since I have been enjoying the art and being aware of what is around me that the majority of my “problems” have shrunk to their proper level.

    I totally agree.
There is one more sculpture with this medium.
I like the reflection of the sunlight in your photography
and the play of light and shade.

Sure. If you can, try to leave the watermark on the lower right.
