Not my dad's Cadillac

Published by at 6:00 am under Bowl

The matching roof rack caught my eye as I strolled past this shiny black caddy early last week.  I then noticed the apparent seams and the cabling routed down along the driver side pillar.  It is evident to me that this rack houses an instrument package, but what kind?  It was parked in front of a bank across the street from a restaurant.

Making sure the Cuban Sandwichs are authentic with the mayo array?

The apparatus is an automated wheelchair lift/storage. Push a button and the top slides open to reveal wheelchair – a robotic arm then takes the wheelchair down so the driver can slide from car seat to ‘chair seat. (also works in reverse so wheelchair-bound driver doesn’t have to hoist a 30-lb chair onto the roof.)

Amazing. I never would have guessed that. Thanks for solving that one.
