Not my dad’s Cadillac

Published by George under Bowl

The matching roof rack caught my eye as I strolled past this shiny black caddy early last week.  I then noticed the apparent seams and the cabling routed down along the driver side pillar.  It is evident to me that this rack houses an instrument package, but what kind?  It was parked in front of a bank across the street from a restaurant.

Building Steam

Published by George under Bowl

The current crop of cold weather has downtown firing up their heating systems.  This shot of the Regions building shows the hot exhaust vapor giving the structure a “ship under way” look.

Fire Destroys House on Columbus Drive

Published by George under Bowl

Yesterday I spotted smoke on the horizon.  I was able to grab a half dozen or so frames before the fire fighters started to put some water on the fire.  You can see the white smoke in the last picture (steam from the water).  TBO has a story here.  This happened around 3:20pm.

Tadpole Trike, Part Duex

Published by George under Bowl

There is no science to finding flotsam.  Its more of an intuition or six sense.  Having stated that, I’ve probably missed more flotsam than I have captured.  My intuition is not the best.  Anybody who has spent more than ten minutes in my company can attest to that.

But once in a while I get lucky.  I like to think this is one of those times.  Somebody decided to park their new toy in the City Hall Lot in Tampa.  I stumbled around it with my finger on the shutter button and these are the results.
