General Van Fleet Trail

Published by at 6:00 am under Weekend Adventures

This weekend Spousal Unit (aka Pepper) and I took to the General James Van Fleet Trail. We pedaled through the northern portions and just relaxed a bit. This is our favorite paved bike trail in the local area.

Nice review of this great trail. I like your comments about the gopher tortoises. Last year while riding along this trail I came upon a newly hatched clutch of baby tortoises just emerging from the nest! What a thrill! This trail is full of wonder.
