Hydrants with hats

You can look at some things a hundred times, and then one day, you look with a slightly different viewpoint, and you might see something else. This is one of those pictures. I must have walked by this fire hydrant literally hundreds of time, and never gave it a second thought. Then, on Monday, I was looking beyond it, letting my eyes fall here and there, working back in towards me, and the picture just jumped out.
Mr. Hydrant. With a blue hat pulled down almost over his wide set eyes, and a whistle in his mouth ready to give the alarm. Solid and dependable, he will be there when he is needed.
Wow, what a great perspective. You da man! I wish I could be more like you!!!!
Thanks, bill. It’s nice to be appreciated. You have yourself a marvelous day. And check back daily. I can’t promise insightful posts everyday. But there will be “something” Monday through Friday. Your comments are always welcome.
GEO,
I think he’s (looks like he, rather than she, to me) patiently waiting to cross the street….another photo op may awaiting him there. This one could win the contest!
